You should definitely prevent her from joining the military. There's also the fact that there's quite a bit of rape in the military, that is the rape of soldiers by other higher ranking soldiers. There was a big case about it not to long ago. If she wants to serve and protect you should try to convince her to be a cop, a much more safe occupation.
