How can you not get it? His mom knew he was lying when he said he and Sally weren't sleeping together. So the mom hid the pan in the girl's bed... since Sally was sleeping in Adam's bed and not her own, she never came across the hidden pan. When they wanted to cook with it they couldnt find it so they assumed the mom had it...but she just used it to prove that they had lied about not fucking.
