@Supercelestial I will, I will. However, it is challenging to find them, and the ones you buy are small. You have to wait until they grow, and when they do, they usually don't want to eat, while the wild ones are ferocious.

@Supercelestial I`m glad you like it. But it is not a grasshopper, it is a mantis. And a hungry one too :)
Grasshoppers have very powerful mandibles, but not as sharp as a mantid`s, whose mandibles are almost like scalpels.
Depending on the depth of the wound, typically 4-5 days, up to one week. -

@Supercelestial Oh, you can :) I could last longer, unless it becomes too bloody, or they stop eating. Their mandibles are so sharp, their bite is almost painless. Well, almost :)

You can try with a thin layer of honey. This might attract them. I don't catch crickets, I buy them. In the right season, I might catch some grasshoppers and mantids, but those big green grasshoppers are hard to find. And I also discovered that mantids caught in nature are more ferocious than those grown at home. -
