Creature Comforts Forum   Video Grow Your Own Maggots

I found this video on how to grow your own maggots. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmrN6eHIS8k , I will likely try it before the summer is completely gone and I can find the right pieces. Earlier in the summer I tried and semi-successful at growing some maggots. I had some stew beef in the freezer for a while and decided I wasn't going to use it for food. I took the plastic off of it with the beef still sitting in the styro-foam and put it on the grate inside an old grill I don't use anymore, and kept the cover cracked open an inch or two. By the next day there was plenty of flies. Not but a week later there was lots of maggots crawling around however it stunk to high heaven. Holding my nose I used a plastic spoon to get a bunch of the maggots out of the slime under the rotten meat. I couldn't figure out a good way to clean them without loosing them. I had read on here to wash them and use a little bit of dish soap, but no one had ever given any detail on how to do that. I tried using some coffee filters and the kept keeping the slime in with the maggots. I also was putting them in plastic cup of water and swirling them around. I finally got them to what I felt was pretty clean, but I did not have a great deal of them. I cut out a plastic solo cup in a way I could lay my dick in and I poured the maggots into it. I had fun with them for an hour or so. They never really tried to go into my pee-hole no matter how I positioned me or the cup. They all kept pushing their way to under my dick and then hanging out there, but their squirming around really felt good though. I want to give it another go with much more maggots and they have to be really clean(ed). Any body have suggestions in getting maggots cleaned up of the rotten stuff?

I have been using uncooked hot dogs.  When the maggots are ready, I use a spoon to scoop up as many maggots with the least hot dog.  I use dish soap in water with the maggots and well agitate.  I use a fine screen strainer and pour the maggots, water, and soapy sludge through quickly.  I repeat this as many times as it takes to have just the maggots remaining.  The hot dog does dissolve with dish soap and agitation.  I do this all outside.  Maggots do escape but I still manage to have enough to play.

I do have a fine strainer I use for getting the starch off rice before putting in an Instant Pot. I need to get another one just like it just for maggots. The above is my first and only time so far playing with maggots. I originally started out letting those yellow biting flies and mosquitoes bite the crap out of my dick and balls, and then later started letting ants get all over my dick and balls, and then kinda moved onto about anything that I could get to bite my dick and balls and then started attracting wasp. For quite awhile after joining this Creature Comforts I didn't think I would be interested in anything like worms or maggots. Watching video after video of everyone having fun, about a year ago I started trying worms but not a lot of success having them enter except for a few times I had a few go in as far as my tie-off. Then it was earlier this summer I tried the maggots for the first time. I'm kinda anxious to try it again but wanted to figure out how to grow and clean my own maggots.

What kind of dish soap do you use?

I have used Palmolive and Dawn, both labels indicate they are antibacterial.  I am not sure if the brand makes any difference but I do prefer antibacterial
