Creature Comforts Forum   Caution when playing with BSF maggots.

Hi all, I have been using insects the way we all do for over 15 years now. So you could say I'm fairly experienced. I enjoy worms, maggots and BSF maggots down my peephole. I have never tied off my cock and never had any problems until about 6 months ago. It was my birthday I treated myself to some bsf maggots. I placed my dick in the cup and they started working their magic. A few always seem to find the peephole and make their way in, the others love burrowing under my foreskin. So I set about my play as I normally do. Everything was good. Until about 2 days later I went to pee and it felt like I was pissing needles! I went to the doctors who gave me antibiotics for a uti. This didn't help or do anything so a week later still in agony peeing and needing to pee every 10 mins I went back to the doctors. Who referred me to the hospital I had a very bad kidney infection. Another course of medication and things had slightly improved. After about 3 weeks it seemed to be getting better. Then I went to pee. I can only describe what I peed out as 'bits' of a bsf maggot. For a few days I was passing solid bits of a maggot. Fast forward 6 months to today and I have just about got over it. I won't be using bsf maggots again, one must have got into my bladder and it made me very ill for quite a few months. 
So this is a word of warning to those that play, I knew the risks and had 15 years of no problems. Just be careful with what you do! Maybe tieing off would help but I think the bsf really like to burrow.

I have been lucky with my flies so far, but still hesitant of going deeper. Doesn't matter if they are dead or alive. With your pee hole there is always the risk. The deeper you go the higher the risk. Toys like steel sounds can be cleaned very well, even be sterilized in preparation before insertion, but you cannot sterilise those crawling creatures. Even if you clean the outside, if they die or break, then their inside can still contain nasty germs.
Anal is less risky, due to the nature of your ass and colon. But still has its own risks.

A good risk assessment is key.
And ask yourself what kind and which level of risk is acceptable for you.
