Those frivolous issues are what keeps the masses occupied while real issues are being ignored. You make a good point about a lot of wealthy people are dem's, but think about it. What's the easiest way for them to keep getting richer without paying more taxes? By making one party (repubs) look like a bunch of selfish children and the dem's portray the "people's best interest" party. It's all smoke and mirrors. Those clowns all work together because they are greedy. The best way to do that is by keeping the population divided. Jmo
So you are admitting dem's are racist you are just better at hiding your agenda? Think before you blabber yankee.
G. W. Was way more personable than Romney. That dull, old rich white guy persona, turned potential voters the other way. It is a popular vote competition, nothing to popular about those traits.
That is true but our country is ran by said misers. I would say for the vast majority of folks, our wants as a society are fairly close if you exclude religious beliefs. This is why a self governing nation is our only real choice. Regardless of your political views, what we have now is a country controlled by few. That is not how a republic for the people is supposed to be ran.
I think it was less about fraud and more about the repub's trying to sale a candidate that didn't appeal to the demographic they were trying to pull votes from. Seems to me the right hasn't figured out young people vote more now than in the past. Especially in populated areas. Social issues are more important to those voters. If Republicans want to get back in the mix, they will need to start working on their image now. Just my opinion.
Then bring on the war. It's the only way to tear down this fake democracy and bring on real change.
Hmmm troll or idiot, which is the OP?
Well I would say since the rich run the country nothing much will change for them. Taxes will be raised but just on the middle class. Marijuana is on the same legalization path as was alcohol when it started on a state level to end prohibition. Our country has trended towards a more progressive nation for some time now, nothing wrong with that. In the end what concerns me the most is when are folks gonna start holding elected officials accountable for their actions, (or non actions for that matter) time for the fools on Capitol Hill to pull their heads outta their ass and start working together for the betterment of the nation.
I think the thing being overlooked, is the fact nothing really changed. There was no shift in power so unless by some miracle (highly doubtful) they learn to work together, we will spend four more years in a grid lock.
If they got rid of electoral voting, it would definitely add to the suspense. I think it would also create more interest in the whole process from the average American.
Yeah man to much emotion was tied up in this whole process. Major issues where not being discussed. Was just a bunch of mud slinging. I decided to set back and be amused instead of getting in the middle.
You are getting great pleasure outta this huh Zagg? Lol i don't blame you dude talked mad shit the entire campaign.
You think so? I kinda feel she will make a run at it in 16. Even if it's to help pump up party intrest heading into that election.
There is definitely truth in that, but with the same people backed by the same wealthy endorsers we are basically at their mercy.
Very true, the problems our country is dealing with economically is an accumulation of mismanagement occurring over many years. To fix it tho we need less government spending on useless programs, a tax reform that closes loopholes and puts everyone on a level playing field. No union involvement in government jobs. Once a person has served as member of Congress or Senate, they don't continue getting a salary once they are replaced. Just these few practical ideas would cut drastically in big government spending while also creating a surplus to help fix social security and medicare.
Although I agree with what you are getting at with the politicians being liars, I also can see why so many are ready to get someone else in the White House. Many of the same people struggling today to sustain jobs or to even find one, are the same ones who put their faith in the current administration's ability to make things better. They have been thoroughly disappointed. Is that to say Romney will come in and make it better? Of course not. You call out folks as sheep, but the same can be said for either sides believer's. Anyone, whether left or right, that truly believes there is a real difference in the party agendas are fools.
Lol, that is a good point. That was back when America was god's country. Before all the political correctness.
I think the only way for this process to happen would be a collapse of our society as a whole. The only way to bring about this kind of change would be all people being on a level ground. No wealth divide amongst all. Then no one would be able to control the masses with a monetary hand.
The key word there is think. As we see time and again on these threads, thinking for one's self is rare.
