That's why I don't bother browsing the "Images" section anymore; it's way too time-consuming to browse through all ~50 pages of new material per day. But what you're suggesting, in essence, is the same functionality that already exists within the "Galleries" pages, is it not? That's what I'm currently doing to get around the aforementioned problem, and seems to be working fine for me.
