maybe people really dont need access to military grade assault weapons with minimal regulation? also maybe better treatment for the mentally ill might actually be a good idea? nothing at all justifies when this person did, but illness really does create conditions where people do terrible things they really arent in control of the same way most people are. safe guards making it so that out of control people are less able to get things that kill a lot of people in a really short amount of time might not be such a bad agenda. maybe make it so that such weapons have to stay on a gun club's premises? yes disarmament of the people by government is what 2nd amendment is all about but well-regulated is in there somewhere too. maybe extremely angry people shouldnt be able to easily just go out and buy an aresenal. not op by the way just weighing in. probably the wrong place for it but there it is.

Treatment for the mentally ill? That involves some civil liberties issues. And it would cost money. That would mean taxes. This is America. We don't do taxes.
