when you're doing a reply. right above the reply box. you should see the words bold - italic - underline - quote etc,
so what you do copy the part of post you want to quote.
and then paste it in the reply box.
once you do that. right click on the entire phrase. and when the phrase is still in blue. click on word quote.

you will now see some html around the phrase you want to quote. and that's how it's done.
