My other favorite is "If we evolved from monkeys, why do monkeys still exist?" They act like this is some grand indictment of evolutionary biology, when all it betrays is the paralyzing ignorance of the speaker.

Regardless of whether you can lure people out of the magical delusions and self-centeredness that is the basis of religious belief (and the attitudes that certain individuals have as a consequence of being religiously indoctrinated), I honestly doubt OP could make much of a change.
I personally find his comments to be immature as fuck. It's like all his knowledge is based on broad generalizations which he pulled out of quotes from books, instead of actual books.
He's clueless about the determinants of human behavior and detached from base-ideas that would actually result in him having a constructive, positively enlightening argument with a religious person at any time in his life.
The reality is that whether or not OP stands by relatively true points (which by the way he phrased, make me disagree with them fundamentally) is irrelevant. He's simply throwing a bitchy fit and I find that having such counterproductive people as him on the side of an argument which I support is very frustrating.
He's to atheists as Fundamentalists are to Catholics: Someone completely misinformed, from whom others who go against us can draw bullshit statements about our entire group.
I wish you were religious, OP. Not so much because I want more people to believe, but because I find it frightening that someone so stupid is going around talking about atheism, and because you might as well be shouting "These fucking atheists! How can they be s stupid not to believe in GOD?".
