The problem I see is this. If you have three guys in a fox hole, and one is a faggot, and a raghead charges the fox hole, if one of the guys yells, "watch out, shoot that fucking faggot!" There will be confusion as to who needs to be shot. And confusion in that kind of situation is not a good thing.

Actually the reason why we're "losing" in Iraq is because of unintended consequences. After we overthrew Saddam all the different sectarian groups in Iraq began to kill each other, and warlords of the groups quickly began fighting to take over parts of the country. This is still going on right now and that's why Iraq has become a country inflicted with chaos.

However, if we keep a military base there and control the oil there (Iraq has the second biggest oil reserve in the world) then we can use this for leverage to other countries that are highly dependent on oil, thus this reason may justify the war, it'll just justify it in the long run.

Agreed. Although the consequences were unintended they were well understood beforehand. Iraq has never had a united people since its somewhat arbitrary formation in the 20s, the tensions were waiting to be realised into conflict as soon as the suppression of dictatorship was removed.

So we allies knew damn well what was going to happen (To the homophobic OP you know it's not just the US forces in Iraq, right?) but decided that the predicted cost to the Iraqi people and the armed services, and to the bottom line, was worth it.
