It's going to take more than one term of any p********, Rep or Dem, to dig us all out of the shit, Bush's administration and the irresponsible lending of the US' institutional investment banking spivs left the Western world's interrelated economies in, three years ago.
Rep. were in charge of the practices at the time and therefore have to shoulder the blame and neither they, nor the dem's, have a quick fix, one-size-fits-all solution.
True Americans could start by prosecuting the banks for irresponsible practices, legislate new restrictions that refocus them as places of security and strength rather than money making machines built like a house of cards, and hit their high-risk/high-reward gambling practices with a social responsibility tax to reward and pay debt to the democracy and its people for creating the capitalist market on which it feeds.
In the recovery years to come, one way or another, alot of people are going to get hurt, a few of the rich and many of the poor - Dem's and Rep's, you're all in this together and you'll get out of it together if you work together.
Go USA!
