I grew up a nudist. I've never heard the anyone call themselves naturalist I believe him. It's not uncommon for different groups to use weird names. I once visited a group that called them selves Purists.
I personally left the lifestyle behind during high school. I returned for most of my twenties and then gave up for good after my honeymoon. It was after the honeymoon because we spent it at a nude beach.
