and neither of you see how the problem of black poverty is self-perpetuating and contributes to all of the aspects of black ignorance that you list here?
as long they are demonized, they will continue to perceive our institutions as racist and unjust and will feel as if they're betraying their communities by contributing to society as a whole. as long as they are disproportionately poor, they will lack access to the opportunities available to achieve success. as long as they are unsuccessful, their culture will continue to interact with that of crime and self-destruction. this contributes to the demonization.
and you really don't need to read much to understand why africa is the way it is. it has very little to do with african inferiority and a lot to do with colonialist and neo-imperialist expansion and exploitation. that and an inherently flawed average american understanding of cultures (mostly indigenous) that thrive on sustainability and harmony, as opposed to constantly reaping as much profit off of the planet as possible.
i don't know what it's going to take to change racists, honestly. i can only hope that with time and improvements to education, the old ideas will die off. most of the people here that are racist are obviously not educated, not very literate, or open minded. most of them probably grew up hearing their fathers talk about "the niggers" and are too lazy to think beyond these simple forms of categorization. but, above all, these racists are completely unaware of what privilege is and how it influences every standard they hold for others with fewer advantages. these white guys think they have it bad. they've turned white guilt into a privilege.
and even as they lose more jobs and anyone with half a brain and an internet connection can tell you that US GDP is up, corporate profits are way up, but productivity and unemployment are at an all time high (meaning the amount people work for less pay), they blame the "nigger p********" instead of the banks and media institutions that are actively robbing them blind. although obama should be tougher on the banks, its the red populace that keeps electing these retarded conservatives that funnel money to a bloated military, refuse to fix a bloated healthcare system, refuse to fix these corporate tax cuts, refuse to institute penalties for outsourcing american jobs to foreign countries, all in the name of a free fucking market. the market's not looking so free, folks, and its because of bush era economic policies. the CBO knows it, warren buffet knows it, the S&P knows it. of course at this point, no one on their side knows what i'm talking about because theyre idiots. so ill stop here.
