You forgot tobacco. People spend more on that addiction than I spend on food. SSI is no different than the rest, it all comes from mandatory deductions, aka TAXES. The better and more stable your job is, the more you pay in and the less likely you are to need to draw from the fund. It's the middle class that gets fucked over... pay to support the lazy and the rich get richer off us all.
