You dont need a bunch of friends to succeed in life. A couple good buddies and a nice girl is all you need (decent women are tough to find though) Get a job, any job. No matter how crappy it is or how much it sucks stick it out till you find something better and just keep moving up. If the job is too far away from home you have a car, sleep in it. Fuck what people are gonna think of you.
I was in a similar position when I was 18, staying at a family members house, couldnt afford to drive my car or do shit all. Went through a half dozen crappy jobs, each a little better than the first slowly working up to where I am now. I love my job, it pays very decent and my boss isn't a jerk. My home will be paid off this summer. And my GF is smokin hot and been with me the entire time. I am 26 now and love where I have ended up.
The biggest thing for me was finding a reason to try harder at making something of myself. That ended up being my girl, I wanted to provide for her and get her a home and nice cars, jewlery etc. Find a reason to work hard and succeed then dont stop trying till you get it.
