i confess chat wont work for me because it says i have a proxy up, but i dont and its making me mad, anyone know any good chat sites? that are free

Does it say you're on a proxy when you go to http://whatismyipaddress.com?
Sometimes if your internet traffic is relayed through a government hub, your connection will be detected as a proxy. Some ISP's are subpoenaed to relay your traffic through a government server so all your web traffic can be stored and analyzed.
If this happens, your connection will be detected as a proxy because you're not actually connecting from your ISP, but you're beign redirected from a clandestine government server.
