By the way it's impossible to hide your IP at 100%, paying even.
If police had some suspects, they ask your own provider the list of everyone who enter internet anonymously at a certain time. They need a lot of time, money and ability, but at the end they will reach u, always, believe me.
The only way to hide completely yourself is to walk with a netbook, intercepting the first wi fi signal u find. So, the IP will be the IP of another guy...
