There's some empirical evidence that people throughout the world perceive black women to be the least attractive. A Japanese evolutionary psychologist theorizes that it might be due to higher testosterone levels in blacks. He published the results on the Psychology Today website, but a firestorm of politically correct criticism led to PT taking the article down. It seems as if it might be the case that higher testosterone levels in black men makes them more attractive, but I don't know that there's been any research on the question.
