My other half , has 8 tattoos already and wants another one but can’t really afford to have it done. Her tattooist has said if she’s naked when he’s doing it, he will do it for free, as he charges punters to watch her having the tattoo done. I’ve seen films like this and I’m worried she could be fucked. I’m hoping not though.

That’s true, she said that possibly 8 to 10 guys may turn up and most are budding new tattoo artists, that want to see how tattoos are done. This could be legit, but she will be totally naked throughout her tattoo.
