So God chooses ten super-important rules to etch in stone and pass down to humanity, and the FIRST FIVE all involve nothing but detailed instructions on how to worship him and stroke his elephantine ego while not arousing his nasty inferiority complex.
If only one god exists (and one would assume God knows this, being God and all), why do people need to be instructed not to worship other gods?
