Nope but I do give them some credit for trying something different. And like good horror it had a message and the "evil" was just a representative of something else. As far as trying to continue on when Myers was dead, it was good and bad. Good that for the time, they decided to keep him dead. Bad that they were cashing in on the Halloween franchise name.
