Please support traveling circuses and carnivals. Finding regular work for out-of-work side-show staff is difficult, given their unusual traits or facial disfigurements. This can lead to low self-esteem and in some extreme cases this can impact on their mental health.
We can help these poor wretched individuals, but we believe prevention is better than a cure. Supporting a visiting circus or carnival can help keep these individuals in employment so they can lead a rich and rewarding life.
To help us rehabilitate the unfortunate, here are a few tips of things you can do:
1: Do not comment about their masks, no matter how pathetic and ragged they may look (this may prompt them to take off their masks and the damage to society and themselves is incalculable).
2: Feel free to point at them and laugh (this will help them re-live the safe working environment of their past employment and keep them in their comfort zone).
3: Where possible, avoid conversation, just politely nod and move along (conversations often spiral downwards into a delusional depressive state which has a detrimental impact on their mental health).
And finally
