It went off the air because what he was doing was illegal. Its called entrapment. 40 year old men were pretending to be 15 year old girls online to convince a guy to drive to meet them. Then some 40 year old women with a young sounding voice would further convince them on the phone. Now granted most of the guys were stupid to drive a couple of states to try and hook up with what they thought was a teenage girl, I mean try to find one in your own state that is willing if you want to that bad, but it was still illegal.
Then I want to know if taxpayer money was used to have the 20+ cops there to tackle one guy. I'm so sick of a fucking full geared swat team being needed to go arrest guys looking at child porn. I mean I have seen less cops show up to arrest muderers for fucks sake.
Anyway its a good thing that show is off the air. Chris hansen is a scumbag. He focused the nation of making a big deal of guys getting lucky enough to bang some horny teenager by pretending to be teenagers to lure guys to be arrested. Meanwhile there are people out there raping actual underage pre-pubescent children and what does he do? Not a damn thing. As I said, a scumbag.

I agree. Hansen helped create a crime where there originally wasn't one. How do you accuse someone of being a sex offender when they didn't actually sex offend a real young girl? Entrapment is nothing more than a tool used by cops, prosecutors, and judges to boost their careers. Hansen used it to boost his own career. If a young girl wants to get with a older man, there's nothing Hansen or anyone can do about it. By the same token, I want to remind guys on here that most young girls are not looking for older men, so don't get sucked you online cops. I made that mistake and it cost me my career.

and than the scumbag got caught cheating on his own wife...so he was no goody two shoes either. besides, it was only going to be a matter of time before one of the set ups went wrong and someone took Hansen out. really, think how many times one of those guys could have just said fuck it and grabbed a knife from the kitchen they were in an took him down. I mean if their lives were fucked anyway may as well make it good......oh wait...why didnt that ever happen, why was he never in danger...um maybe, could it all have been fake, a set up to make a high rated tv news show to build Hansens career as a world wide news reporter...nah that would never happen

i see absolutely no problem with consensual sex with someone under the age of 18.
your problem is you see law as being 100% correct, and to cross it is 100% bad, the whole goal of laws, is to defend peoples rights.
i personaly don't see how criminalizing having consensual sex with a minor protects anyones rights.
sure it might stop a rape or two, but we already have laws for rape, so i see no reason to believe the law is justified.

Let's keep in mind that Hansen was caught having an affair with a woman that was not even born when he turned 18.
Hansen was a genius in one way, he managed to make money off society's fears, but if anyone thinks he truly cares about children or their safety, then ask him why he cheated on his wife and betrayed his kids' trust.
The show did reveal one unspoken and ugly truth... that teen girls place themselves in great peril every day online and that the pigs are doing nothing real to stop them.. instead of busting a few entrapped perverts, why arent they catching the REAL girls and reporting them to their parents? Stop one girl and 20 perverts have no where to perv. Stop one perv and you still have 20 girls trying to bang an old man.

And hopefully by that time, society will have realized that age alone doesn't determine when a girl becomes sexual. I detest rape in any form and with any age, but consensual intercourse should be decided between the two participants, regardless of their ages.

It should also be noted here that no "perpetrator" nabbed in any TCAP operation was ever convicted of any crime in a court of law. Setting aside the dumbass idiots who pleaded guilty, in every other case the charges were dropped or there was an acquittal.

this kind of twat is the reason why an 18 year old guy dating a 17 year old girl, gets arrested and put into the sex offender registry for the rest of his life. talk about fucking up someone's life. teenagers aren't children. most girls over 14 have more sexual partners by they time they're 21, then most adults have had their entire lives.
