If you're happier in the situation than out, then stick with it. Yes, you're probably the best chance they've got... so you might feel it would be bad to leave. But if the situation doesn't make you happier overall, this will wear you down and you won't be as good for them in the long-term. Good luck! And thanks for being awesome to the kid. :)
