i think its odd that with all the crazy material that this site has on it, ie: people eating shit, women killing kittens, and a constant supply of supposed 'incest' videos, that when i post a still frame from classic cinema, i get a notice of its deletion.

Because the average visitor to this site has an I.Q. of about 50, and the average mod I.Q. is about 30, well below official retard status. So visitor sees a pic he doesn't like, for any reason, but perhaps only because it doesn't make his tiny dick sufficiently hard to stick into some inanimate hole, and he reports it.
A mod gets the report, is too stupid to actually review the allegedly offensive image, or too busy circle-jerking with his fellow attic-dwelling mods, and instantly deletes. That's why totally acceptable material, including non-copywrited, non-nude, perfectly legal content routinely vanishes into the ether.
