My gf's ex had a 9 incher too! I'm just over 6" and I'd love to see her take a bigger one. We've had a few threesomes (2 FFM and 1 MFM) but haven't worked out way to that size rod yet. We have a similar plan to what you're using now. The whole go out and let her pick by feeling out size kinda thing. But we usually end up with a girl instead which I'm def not complaining about either.
