I'd be more worried about the government than random hackers. With your IP address, the government can request your last 10 years of browsing history from your ISP. Every last bit that goes through the wire is on record and those records can be called up on demand. It's nothing to be paranoid over. They can't arrest every average joe. But it's something to keep in mind.
