Just thought I'd reply to this thread. I live in Ireland and every single American I speak to online or in person, seem's desperate to be Irish?? I really don't think people are jealous of America or it's people.
I know I'm not anyway? I have a comfortable life, keep myself fit, have a wonderful view of the west coast of Ireland to greet me every morning and have no desire to be in any way 'like' an American.
