After countless negotiations, the Council of Mond eventually decided to pardon the historical crimes of the Lawrence family. However, to preserve public morals, a prominent figure of the clan will have to be scapegoated and hanged. In the official narrative, the Lawrence family will be punished before being rehabilitated. Ironically, it was Eula who was chosen to take on this role, despite having accomplished several military exploits for Mond. The outcome of the negotiations cannot be changed, but the Council is ready to let Eula decide the time of her own execution when she's going to be under the gallows.
