It was. 390/300HP had tons of torque. Locking differential and no problem smoking both tires for a good 60 feet. Completely stock but had a big set of balls. Definitely my favorite of all of my classics. Great at shows and a beautiful, comfy drive.

@Plainsman41 Yeah, they were pretty nice cars. The 64 ford was best. Galaxy XL, 390 cl., white leather buckets, floor shifter, red with factory white vinyl top. I only wish it was a 427 "R" code. Would have been three times more valuable, but I was happy with the 390.

@Plainsman41 I agree. Both gorgeous cars, But I always prefer stock classics. Every one of my antiques were all factory original. 49 buick road master, two 55 fords and a 64 ford galaxy XL.

@Plainsman41 True that. Hey...I just noticed. There`s two different vettes pictured. The 1st give away were the tailpipes. 2nd, the rims. But both outstanding split window corvettes.
