!!!!FOR THOSE IN THE US GETTING THE PROXY SERVER ERROR!!!!
I finally figured it out. Only took me two weeks. You have to upgrade your Adobe Flash player! As soon as I did that, everything cleared up. Some of the newer networks, have reassigned their redirects coming in/out of flash. Upgrade and you're back to running in chat!

Bad advice. We check for the existence of a proxy server side. Long before the Flash software is even sent to your browser.

Just checking if Port 80 is open is a *silly* way to determine what is a proxy server.

It is for this reason you have never had the pleasure of meeting me.
