Is it possible to get rid of the little icon that appears in the middle of videos when videos are muted? I like to watch videos while my music is playing, without the audio of the video, but the mute icon is rather obtrusive.

I agree, pain in the ass. You dont need an icon to let you know the volume is off, the absence of sound should be a tip off.

while volume is on, click and hold the volume bar, drag the mouse pointer to the left over the speaker icon. Release, and you should have effectively reduced the volume to zero, aka, muted.

For a user who has limited musculature control, sometimes trying to get the slider ALMOST but not quite to zero can be challenging while clicking the speaker icon is much easier. I agree, the mid-screen icon is intrusive and not needed. Please get rid of it.

I agree, please remove the mid-screen mute icon. It's annoying and takes away from the video. Thanks!
