Abuse survivors almost always have trust issues, it's normal. We've trusted the wrong people when we were too young to defend ourselves. Therapy can help that too. I talk a good game but I have the same trust issues. I hide it well because I'm a master at making small talk. I just don't tell anyone anything personal and push people away when they get too close. It's a long, hard journey but it's worth it. Support would be good but if you don't have it, it doesn't mean you won't have it down the road. This is such an important investment in your future. I can't tell you how much I admire your courage.

xD I relate. So, how do you deal with it? I prefer getting an answer from someone who is going through the same thing than a therapist.

I have the trauma from being abused but I never got the urge to abuse others so I don't know if I'd be of any help to you but you're right. If you could also find someone who has successfully been through this it could help you so much. I'm always here to listen if you want to inbox me. I can't imagine your pain.
