Or collecting the eggs and putting them in a small container with a bit moisturized paper towel. But that is more difficult. You can use tools not to hurting or killing them. A folded paper clip, cotton ear cleaner or toothpick. It's a long process but way safer for your health

@hornynymph02 you don't need to clean them. Maggots produce ammonia that keep them clean naturally. If you clean their container and with fresh paper towel is absolutely enough. I only had a few days infection from bait shop ones but never from real ones.
